HOW DO I MAKE MONEY WITH MY PODCASTS

Maybe you don't need to make money with your podcasts.  You might be very wealthy and like to make podcasts just for the fun of it.  But making podcasts is a lot of work and if you make several of them at some time you will say to yourself, "I have to make some money doing this or stop spending so much time making podcasts."  So lets talk about some of the ways you can make money with your podcasts.

You can use your podcasts to promote yourself.  Maybe you have an online business and making podcast with you displaying information about your products will be of real value to you.  Podcasts could be used to sell products, I have not seen much of this but it will work.

You also can sell commercials on your podcasts like the radio stations do.  If your podcast are directed to a target audience then it's not hard to find someone who sells products to that target audience and you can sell a commercials on your podcast to the person making the products.   The amount you can charge for commercials on your podcasts depends upon how many people listen to your podcasts.  If you have a podcast that is going to be downloaded over a 1000 time you can easily charge $100 for a 30 second commercial.  So the better job you do in promoting your podcast will dictate how much money you can charge for the commercial.    You can also make money by making the commercial for your advertiser.  It all depends on how popular your podcasts are.   You can also sell advertising on the web page where your podcasts are listed.  Selling advertising on web pages is the best way I know of to make money on the Internet.  Again, look at the radio stations and see what they are doing to make money.
